Wilma Jean Williams, 86, Harrisburg

Wilma Jean Williams, age 86 of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:25 AM, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Shawnee Rose Care Center.

Wilma was born on September 23, 1929 in Hardin County, Illinois to the late Loren and Verbal (Brown) Osman. She married Thayrel Williams in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1981. She had formerly worked as a manager at the Cap Factory.

She is survived by a son, Gary and wife Paula Williams of Galatia, IL.; a daughter: Connie and husband Chris Jeschke of Carterville, IL.; 4 grandchildren: Michael and wife Amy Hawkins of Harrisburg; Gena and husband David Simmons of Carmi, IL.; Brandon Williams and Fiancée Dawn Bouckaert of Winston Salem, NC; and Justin Williams of California. 6 great-grandchildren: Derrick Hawkins; Matty Hawkins; Drew Hawkins; Justin Williams; Kadie Simmons; and Lindsay Simmons. Sister: Sharon and husband Tom LaPara of South Bend, IN.; sister-in-law: Ellen Osman of Marion, IL.; and several nieces & nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers & sisters: Dean Osman, Jack Osman, Hazel Miller, Lindell "Pooch" Osman and Randall Osman,

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Spring Valley Cemetery south of Harrisburg. Mike Tarlton will officiate and burial will follow.
