Mark Warren Skaggs, 61, Carterville

Mark Warren Skaggs, 61, of Carterville and formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at his home.

Mark, owner of POSTERWORLD, enjoyed his business. He loved music, movies and books. An ardent supporter of the SIU Salukis, the St. Louis Rams, and the Cardinals, he attended many games.

Mark was born on November 5, 1954, in St. Louis, to the late Walter Morris and Zelda Kathleen (Grigsby) Skaggs.

He is sadly missed by his brother and sister-in-law, John Morris Skaggs and Ann Taylor of Vienna; nieces, Jennifer Marie (Skaggs) Becker, Megan Rose Skaggs, Lisa Kay (Taylor) Johnson, and Tammy (Taylor) Minton; nephews, William Ray Taylor and Nathan Isaac Taylor. Other members of his extended family include: Kristen Elizabeth Becker, Jennifer, Nicole, Misty, and Samantha Johnson, and Charles L.W. Skaggs.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Michael Williams officiating.
