Rev. George Reed, Naples, FL

Rev. George Reed, a native of Harrisburg, died February 8, 2016 in Naples, Florida. He was the son of Howard and Fanny Smith Reed; brother of Hubert (Butch) Reed, Lawrence (Runt) Reed, Helen Fink, Wayne Reed, Laverne Ziegler, Jane Reed, Ruth Mugge, Mary Davis, and Don Reed. He graduated from HTHS and Anderson College, and then attended Anderson School of Theology. He served as a Church of God pastor for 37 years in three congregations in Ohio.

He and his wife, Ruth, were blessed with three children: Rev. Alan Reed (deceased), Retha Stork, and Dr. Eric Reed. They have 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial are planned in Springfield, OH for Monday, February 15. Arrangements are pending through Jackson, Lytle & Lewis Funeral Home in Springfield.
