PCHS Poms Win Marion Regional; Go to state in IDTA, sectional in IHSA

The Pinckneyville Community High School "Marching Panther Pompon Girls" competed in the Marion High School I.D.T.A. Regional this past Saturday. The squad won 1st place in Class A Kick and qualified the routine to IDTA State. With this routine they also scored the highest score of the contest. In Class A Jazz they placed 2nd our of 7 squads. This Saturday they compete in the IHSA Competitive Dance Sectional held at Mascoutah High School. The top six teams from the Mascoutah sectional this weekend advance to IHSA State Competitive Dance to be held in Bloomington on January 29th & 30th. The team is coached by Rhonda Hicks and Stephen Cannedy with assistants Meghan Carney and Lauren Winter. Tawmi Conley is the groups choreographer.
