3 Things to Do: Events for Jan. 16-17
PANCAKE DAY
<span>Chester Scouts will be conducting Pancake Day on Saturday, January 16, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John Parish Hall in Chester.</span>
<span>Adults are $5 with children ages 5 to 10, $3. Children 4 and under eat free.</span>
FREE FAMILY DAY
<span>Laumeier Sculpture Park's Free Family Days provide families with a chance to bond while encouraging observation, imagination, curiosity and creativity.</span>
<span>Free Family Days provide participants of all ages with structured activities for creating art using a variety of materials.</span>
<span>Families have fun exploring new media and concepts while finding inspiration among Laumeier's natural environment, temporary exhibitions and the Permanent Collection.</span>
<span>A Free Family Day will be held on Sunday, January 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kranzberg Education Lab at Laumeier Sculpture Park (12580 Rott Rd.) in St. Louis.</span>

MEAT SHOOT
<span>The 4th annual St. Clair County A.B.A.T.E. Meat Shoot will be held Sunday, January 17, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at American Legion Stookey Post 1255 in Belleville.</span>
<span>The event is sponsored by Thunder Alley Promotions and will feature indoor, heated shooting. Raffles, bake sale, free food, prize wheel and lots of prizes will be offered at this family-friendly event.</span>
