Tickets available for chamber banquet Jan. 27

The Du Quoin Chamber annual banquet is scheduled for Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Cocktail Reception Hour will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner and awards begin at 7 p.m. The banquet will be held at the Du Quoin American Legion Post 647.

Tickets are available for purchase January 4-January 20, 2016, from the following: The Du Quoin Chamber Office, Banterra Bank, Du Quoin State Bank, Regions Bank, and from any Chamber Officer (Robyn, Chip, Tracy, Doc, or Gary). Tickets are $20 per person and include your meal and the program. Awards will be given to Citizens of the Year Jana and Sam Kuhnert, Emerging Business of the Year, and Business of the Year.

The chamber is seeking sponsors for the banquet in the amount of $200. Sponsors presently include: Chip Banks Chevrolet, City of Du Quoin, and the SIU Small Business Development Center.

This year's event is "puttin' on the ritz" by having a "Red Carpet Affair" Theme with all the bells and whistles. Join in the fun and come dressed in your star-studded attire and compete in the Best-Dressed Competition. Keenan Rice will be serving as the Emcee for this year's event.

This year's annual banquet will feature a silent auction, expanded from last year. Dane Mason is handling the auction and chamber members are being asked to assemble a gift basket to auction. If you don't have enough to make an entire basket, individual items can be donated. These items would be great if they reflect your business through products or services donated. Dane will make arrangements to get your items picked up and ready for the night. Please include your business card in any donated materials. Dane is available by phone at 618-318-0434.
