Prep Girls Hoops: Bulldogs pick up SIRR Ohio win at Massac Co.

Harrisburg shot 20-for-26 at the free throw line and were able to outscore Massac County 12-4 in the final eight minutes to give head coach Jake Stewart his first win in Metropolis in a 41-31 victory last Thursday.

Kelsey Hobbs had a game-high 14 points, while Alexa Burtis scored another 10 points as the Bulldogs improved to 9-3 overall and are 3-1 in league play.

In the win, Burtis is now 19 points away from the 1,000 point plateau, while Hobbs is nearing the same milestone as she needs just 48 more points.

Lotte Miller added eight points for the Bulldogs, while Matty Hawkins chipped in with six points. Lilee Robinson had two points, while Hannah Bartok added a free throw in the win.

Harrisburg returns to the hardwood this Saturday at the Herrin Christmas Tournament.

Eldorado 65, Fairfield 64 OT

Late last week, Eldorado knocked off Fairfield 65-64 in OT.

Jacqlyn Artman had 22 points for the Eagles, while Takiya Britton added 18 points and Caitlin Stafford also finished in double figures with 11 points. Abby Steed had 10 points, while Madison Newton and Rachel Stafford both had two points.

On Saturday, Johnston City knocked off Eldorado 61-47.
