Semi rear-ended in minor crash

<span>On Tuesday, December 15, Chester Police were called to the scene of a traffic crash near the 1000 block of State Street near Light Street.</span>

<span>After arrival, police determined that the driver of a 2007 Sterling tractor-trailer, identified as 55-year-old Michael D. Ewbank of Murphysboro, had been stopped in the eastbound lane of traffic when his vehicle was struck in the rear by another eastbound vehicle.</span>

<span>That vehicle was identified as a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by 53-year-old Edward Creech of Willisville. Creech failed to yield in time to avoid the collision.</span>

<span>No citations were issued and no injuries were reported.</span>
