Guy Vernon Jones, 78, Eldorado
<span>Guy Vernon Jones, 78, of Harrisburg, Illinois died Tuesday December 8, 2015 in Harrisburg.</span>
Guy was born in Carmi, Illinois on April 22, 1937 to the late Chelsea and Alma Fern (Gwaltney) Jones. He was an electrician for the IBEW #702.
He married Mary (Merritt) Jones who survives in Harrisburg. Also surviving are his children: Julia (Brad) Stokes of Eldorado, Charles Walter (Tracey) Jones of Macedonia, Vernon Keith (Kelly) Jones of Norris City and Charlotte (McGill) Polinski the mother of his children. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Matthew Beaver, Jarred Beaver, Delena Stokes, Keith Jones and Kellie Jones, Kristen Sanders, Kelsey Medcraft, Kody Jones, as well as 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters Lois Hafford of Waukegan and Barbara Butler of Herrin. He was preceded in death by a sister Doris Bott and a great-great grandchild Claire Beaver.
Funeral services will be held on <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">Friday, December 11, 2015</span></span> at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado at <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">11:00 AM</span></span>. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.
Visitation will be held on <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">Thursday, December 10, 2015</span></span> at Watson Funeral Home from <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">4:00 PM until 7:00 PM</span></span>.
