James Tolbert, 77, Harrisburg

James Tolbert 77 of Harrisburg passed away 11:45 PM Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. He was born June 26, 1938 in Saline County, the son of Bon and Pauline Wilson Tolbert. He was married to Naomi Mallady who survives. James was retired from the I.O.E. local 150 of the operating engineers where he was an equipment operator. James was an Army Veteran and was a member of the Harrisburg Lodge #325 AF & AM.

James is survived by his wife Naomi, 1 son James E. (Diana) Tolbert, Jr. of Carrier Mills, 1 brother Harold of Coal City, IL and 3 sisters, Zanada Cravin, Mt. Carmel, IL, Betty Trippe, McCullough, AL and Elsie Lewis of Eldorado. Also 4 grandchildren, Stephanie and Sean Cluck, Brandon Smith, Matthew Smith and Allison Smith and 7 great grandchildren, Peyton Bustamanti, Trinity Cluck, Rowan Cluck, Remington Denton, Macy Smith, Marli Smith and Sense Ann Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bobby G. Tolbert.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Leroy Hicks officiating and burial in Springvalley Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home where Masonic Services will be conferred at 7:00 PM. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Masonic Children's Home in Murphysboro, IL and left at the funeral home.
