Dorothy B. Simmons, age 83 of Tuscola, Il., formerly of Villa Grove, Il., died at 6:10 pm on Sunday Dec. 6, 2015 at the Brookstone Estates in Tuscola, Il.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday Dec. 10, 2015 in the Carrier Mills Tabernacle Church in Carrier Mills, Il. with Pastor Gary Simmons officiating, burial will be in the Webb Cemetery, Tunnel Hill, Il., visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday Dec. 9, 2015 in the Joines Funeral Home (Il Rt 130 S) Villa Grove, Il.

Mrs. Simmons was born July 11, 1932 in Asbury, Il., a daughter of Walter and Anna Bell (Breeden) Smith, she married Frank Simmons June 4, 1954 in Marion, Il., he survivies in Tuscola, Il., also surviving are 1 daughter Marsha (Marvin) Klienmeyer of Camargo, Il., 2 granddaughters, Mindy Hazard of Chatham, Il., and Michele Cohen of Ogden, Il., 3 grandchildren, Luke Cohen, Nick Hazard and Jenna Hazard. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

She was a member of the Villa Grove United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Womens, she enjoyed her family very much and will be missed by all. Memorials can be made to an organization of the donors choice.
