No claimant: $13,677 Mardi Gras 50-50 rolls over

Monday, Nov. 30 was the deadline for the winning ticket holder to claim their half of the $27,354 Pinckneyville Mardi Gras 50-50 drawing prize.

No one has come forward so the half of the winnings that the ticket holder would have won, $13,677, rolls over into the 2016 drawing. The winning ticket is still in someone's coat pocket, in the cup holder of a car or was swept away in street cleaning operations after the close of the Halloween weekend festival.

If you find it, it's too late.

People in the Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce remember this has happened once before, several years ago with a much smaller pot.
