Virgil Maurice Hall, 83, Eldorado
Virgil Maurice Hall, 83, of Eldorado, died on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Eldorado.
He was born in Vincennes, IN on June 26, 1932 to the late Noah and Harriet Hall. Virgil was a retired truck driver for UPS with 32 years of safe driving. He was a life member of the Eldorado VFW Post 3749 and American Legion Post 169, and a member of Eldorado Masonic Lodge #730 AF & AM and the teamsters union. Virgil loved baseball and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On November 10, 1951 he married Betty Lou Sherman and she preceded him in death on November 6, 1977. Surviving are his children: Tim (Doris) Hall of Harrisburg, Joy (Randall) Braddock of Valrico, FL and Susie (Chuck) McGill of Eldorado. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Doug Grisham, Sherry Grisham Thacker, Beth Sapp, Matt Grisham, D.J. Davis, Dustin McGill, Kyle Hall and Cody Hall and 9 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Richard Hall of Oaktown, IN. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Tom Hall, Bob Hall and Junior Hall and a sister Millie Adams.
Visitation for Virgil will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. A masonic service will be said at 12:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 at the Highland Cemetery in Mt. Carmel with military rites by the Eldorado American Legion and the Eldorado VFW.
