Albert Eugene Brown, 92, of Eldorado, died, November 22, in Eldorado.
Albert was born in Eldorado on April 2, 1923 to the late Claude Dewey and Ethel Marie (Catlin) Brown. He was a farmer and a postal carrier. He loved to fish, he loved to catch them and especially eating them. He also loved to dance to the Glenn Miller Band.
On June 7, 1941 he married the former Lodema Payne and she survives in Eldorado. They were married for 74 years. Also surviving are his children: Dan (Brenda) Ramsey of Eldorado, Gary (Kathy) Brown of Chatam and Sue Justice of Decatur. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Jason Brown, Shannon Rister, Dawn Horn, Jill Saffer, Timothy Brown and Emily Brown. Albert is also survived by 10 great-great grandchildren: Rachel Martinean, Tiffany Moore, Dylan Brown, Dawson Brown, Caleb Hayes, Tyler Reed, Sarah Reed, Nathan Horn, Nicholas Brown and Daniel Rister.
He is survived by 2 brothers: Otto Brown of Broughton and Donnie Brown of Harrisburg and 3 sisters: Laura Bell Hausser of Frankfort, Carolyn Aldridge of Eldorado and Linda Young for Beecher, IL.
He was preceded in death a son Ronald E. Brown and by 5 brothers: Joel, Larry, Bobby, Dewey and C.A. Brown and 2 sisters; Betty Pruett and Sybil Ursch.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Wesley Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and can be left at the funeral home.
