Chloe Grant Denny, 89, Bethalto

Chloe Grant Denny, 89, went to be with the Lord at 7:55 a.m. Nov. 3 at Robings Manor in Brighton. She was born on August 12, 1926 in Simpson, the daughter of Thomas and Mae (Cletcher) Grant.

She married Calvin L. Denny on March 10, 1946 in Eldorado at her parent's home. He preceded her in death on Janruary 12, 2011.

She was a member of the Bethalto Church of God. She enjoyed camping and most of all spending time with her family and her church family.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Michael Moore and his fiancée, Amanda Henningfeld of Alton and Jeffery and Katie Moore of Seattle, WA; seven great grandchildren, Christopher, Devin, Austin, Brady, Nicholous, Eric, and Hayden; three sisters and their spouses, Sylvia (Don) beasley of Bunker Hill, Rosalee Tucker of Bethalto, and Kathy (Ed) Dougles of Omaha; two brothers and their spouses, Dale (Lynette) Grant of Phoenix, AZ; a niece, Darris "Tippy" Lue Bonnell as well as many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Angela Moore, A grandson, James Scott, her sisters, Helen Shelton and Flo Headrick.
