Cooper B-Line welcomes new plant manager

Perry County residents are proud to welcome 42-year-old John Dimos as the new plant manager of Cooper B-Line Industries of Pinckneyville, formerly GS Metals.

In 2007, B-Line acquired GS Metals becoming the sole manufacturer of GRIP STRUT™ safety grating. With a unique one-piece diamond shape, it provides one of the best slip resistance surfaces available in the market today.

Mr. Dimos comes to Pinckneyville from Lancaster, Pa. where he and his wife have two children, ages 9 and 14.

His family will remain there until the end of the school year so that their daughter can graduate from eighth grade with her friends. "We wanted her to attend one grade school and one high school," he said of his daughter. He expects his family to be reunited with him next spring.

Mr. Dimos is very approachable and said he feels an obligation to be a good corporate neighbor with the communities of Perry County.

Cooper B-Line has a very strong presence in the safety walkway industry and its Pinckneyville plant currently employs approximately 120.
