Prep Golf: Bulldogs close out season at home
The Harrisburg High School boys' golf team closed out its regular season with a split in a triangular match at Shawnee Hills Country Club last Thursday.
The Bulldogs finished second to Benton as the Rangers shot a 158 to Harrisburg's 163. Carmi-White County was third with a 180.
Ben Fowler and Patrick Bittle finished in a four-way tie for medalist as each shot a 38. Garret Jenkins carded a 42 for the Bulldogs and Jacob Mills shot a 45. Camden Schiff finished with a 47 and Bryce Beal had 50.
Harrisburg finished the regular season 50-14 and will play in Tuesday's IHSA Regional at Salem.
Alexa Burtis took medalist honors for the Bulldogs on Thursday in a loss to Eldorado, falling 196-218.
Burtis finished with a 41, while Skylar Street carded a 47. Alli Ferrel had a 64 and Annabella Robinson fired a 66.
The Bulldogs girls' golf team will play in the IHSA Regional Wednesday at Anna's Union County Country Club.
