Prep Golf: Bulldogs take second in triangular

The Harrisburg High School boys' golf team took second in a stacked triangular Wednesday at Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbdonale.

Taking the event was Belleville Althoff with a 149, while Harrisburg was second with a 160 and Carbondale rounded out the field with a 177.

Garrett Jenkins grabbed his first medalist honors of the season with a 38, while Patrick Bittle fired a 40. Ben Fowler and Bryce Beal each shot a pair of 41's for the four-person scoring.

Camden Schiff (46) and Jacob Mills (49) played as individuals.

EHS girls edge Carmi

Jacqlyn Artman carded a 46 to finish with low honors for the Eldorado High School girls' golf team in a 197-198 victory over Carmi-White County Wednesday.

Kileah Lowery finished with 48, while Keely Tate tacked on a 49 and Ashlyn Sizemore had a 54 for her best round of the year.

The Eagles got a 57 from Derian Corn and a 60 from Olivia Parker.
