GOLF: Lady Panthers beat Herrin, West Frankfort

The Lady Panthers racked up another win on Thursday, knocking off West Frankfort and Herrin in team competition behind Megan Breslin's nine-hole score of 41. That total tied her with the Lady Tigers' Macy Mooneyham for the medalist award.

Sarah Breslin was a stroke back at 42 for PCHS, and Ellie Carlson (46) and Trista Ogilvie (48) also helped make up Pinckneyville's team score of 177, comfortably ahead of the Lady Redbirds (191) and Lady Tigers (193).

Pinckneyville plays next on Tuesday at Red Hawk Golf Course with Du Quoin.
