VOLLEYBALL: Elverado stays unbeaten in conference by beating Shawnee

Elverado improved to 5-0 in conference play with Tuesday night's home volleyball win over Shawnee, taking the victory in straight sets 25-12, 25-20.

Tori Ehlers' 5 kills led the Lady Falcons' offense and Haily Falter finished with a team-high 4 digs. Ellie Winthrop added 2 kills and 2 digs and had 4 blocks at the net. Maycee Bowlin had 4 service aces.

"The girls did a good job out on the floor, we got points when we needed to," said EHS head coach Donette Wheatley. "Our defense tonight at the net was great. It's nice to stay unbeaten in conference play."

Elverado also took the junior varsity match, winning 25-16, 13-25, 15-13. Jessica Elson led kills with 7 and digs with 8.

The Lady Falcons (8-7, 5-0) travel to Meridian on Thursday night.
