Prep Volleyball: Running on Fumes

The Harrisburg volleyball team suffered a pair of losses this past week, losing to Carbondale 31-29, 21-15 and 15-25 on Monday and followed that up with a two set loss to Benton, 22-25 and 11-25.

"We've played seven games in four days and honestly are running low on fuel," Harrisburg head coach Heather Cox said. "We'll use our off day to get in some practice and some rest and we need it both mentally and physically. We've played some tough competition and just come up short. We have a ways to go, but are continuing to improve."

In the loss to Carbondale, Jenny Buchanan had 10 kills and six blocks, while Matty Hawkins returned from an ankle injury to finish with five kills and four blocks. Lilee Robinson had 12 assists for the Bulldogs, while Jessica Schwartz had 10 assists. Madeline Rider finished with 15 points.

In the loss to Benton, Buchanan had six kills and three blocks, while Hawkins had eight kills and one block. Jessica Schwarts had seven assists, while Robinson finished with six.
