VOLLEYBALL: Pinckneyville downs A-J in straight sets
The Lady Panthers improved to 3-0 in the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference's Mississippi Division on Tuesday night, knocking off Anna-Jonesboro in straight sets by the score of 25-16, 25-23.
The loss was the first in conference play for the Lady Wildcats, who last week knocked off perennial Mississippi Division favorite Nashville in straight sets.
Kylee Kling's 6 kills led the way for PCHS. Sophie Keith and Keeley Grey each added 3 kills. Mayci Doerflein topped the assists category with 15. Emma Banach led digs with 9, Mady Epplin had 7.
The Lady Panthers (12-8, 3-0) get another big test on Thursday when they travel to Nashville to take on the Hornettes.
