Moving to new Pinckneyville hospital underway
The first wave of moving to the new Pinckneyville Community Hospital began this week. The official opening of the new 17-bed facility will be Monday, September 28.
During this time, it is anticipated that there may be short term communication issues with the phone system. Callers are encouraged to be patient and try back.
Effective Monday, September 28, Pinckneyville Community Hospital will begin seeing patients at the new Pinckneyville Community Hospital. This will include the relocation of patients. The media is invited to take part in this day, but in an effort to make this transition as smooth as possible for our patients, will not be invited inside the hospital.
On that Monday there will be a press briefing on the Family Medical Center front lawn.
Beginning at 10 a.m. the hospital will begin transporting patients from the current hospital to the new hospital using the Pinckneyville Ambulance Service. at approximately noon the emergency department at 101 North Walnut will close. at 1:30 p.m. there will be a balloon release at the new hospital on Rt. 154. During this time, Administrator/CEO, Randall W. Dauby, will have a statement and be available for questions.
