Pinckneyville's boys and girls golf teams both swept Monday's tri-match with Du Quoin and Sparta at Red Hawk Golf Course, and Panthers Grant Thompson (44) and Sarah Breslin (38) each picked up medalist awards for PCHS.

The Lady Panthers have been red-hot as of late, winning every match and tournament they've entered since August 29. In the process, they've defeated 20 teams in a row.

Megan Breslin and Ellie Carlson each shot 40 for PCHS to tie for second on Monday. Trista Ogilvie and Erica Crews each finished with a 46 and Graci McDaniel shot 50. The Lady Panthers finished with a team total of 164, comfortably ahead of second place Sparta's 242.

Du Quoin's girls shot 247 as a team with Carlie Daffron's 50 topping the list. Camryn Little (63), Gabrielle Alvarado (65), Maddison Dorsey (69), Katlyn Swallers (69) and Kayla Dean (70) also participated for the Lady Indians.

Pinckneyville's boys pulled off an eight-stroke win with their total of 190, edging out the Bulldogs' 198. Du Quoin was third at 256.

Behind Thompson, Kyle Luke shot 46 for Pinckneyville to place third overall. Hunter Clark and Mason Hopp each carded a 50, Justin Keller a 55, Tyler Restoff a 59, and Luke Silbe a 63.

Du Quoin was led by Nick King's 53. John Monroe and Kyler Lively both had a 62, and Noah James shot 79.

The Lady Panthers (36-4) are at Centralia on Tuesday. PCHS's boys and girls are both at Anna-Jonesboro on Thursday.

Both Panther teams as well as both Indians teams are back at Red Hawk this Friday against Chester.
