VOLLEYBALL: Lady Falcons fall to 0-2 at Sesser-Valier

Elverado fell to 0-2 on the volleyball season with a tightly-contested loss at Sesser-Valier on Tuesday, losing 26-24, 25-17.

"We spotted them way too many points at the beginning of both games," said EHS head coach Donette Wheatley. "We fought back and never quit. We have to turn our defense into offense every chance we can, not just free ball it back over. We didn't play nowhere near what we did last week. We have got to stay positive even though we've dropped these first two games."

Tori Ehlers had three kills to lead the Lady Falcons, Ellie Winthrop and Allie Whittington each added two. Ehlers also led the team in digs with four. Emma Bigham tallied four assists. Winthrop blocked three shots at the net.

The EHS junior varsity team lost their match 25-15, 25-21. Jessica Elson and Madelyn Asbury both had a pair of kills and Hope Porter finished with two digs.

The Lady Falcon freshmen were victorious, 35-32, getting two kills apiece from Elson, Asbury and Whittington.
