VOLLEYBALL: Lady Panthers win a pair at Marissa Tourney
Pinckneyville put out a strong performance in a pair of Tuesday night volleyball matches at the Marissa Tournament, first knocking off Okawville 21-18, 21-7.
Leading PCHS in kills was Emma Banach with six. Mayci Doerflein had a dozen assists and Mady Epplin led digs with four.
The Lady Panthers then returned later in the evening to defeat Wesclin, 21-15, 21-14 to improve to 2-0 at Marissa.
Keeley Grey and Kylee Kling each had three kills, Doerflein had seven assists, and Epplin finished with a team-high four digs.
The Marissa Volleyball Tournament continues throughout the week. The Lady Panthers are currently 4-4 overall after the two wins on Tuesday.
