Dennis Michael Witt

Dennis Michael Witt, age 60 of Eldorado, passed away at 3:04 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

He was born in Lejunior, Kentucky, on October 19, 1954 to Asa Witt and Ollie (Creech) Witt. Dennis married Linda J. (Beam) on June 6, 1975 and she survives. Dennis was a coal miner and a self employed air conditioner and refrigeration man.

In addition to his wife Linda of Eldorado, and his mother: Ollie Witt of Butler, IL; Dennis is survived by 2 children: Jennifer Amanda and husband Robert Stubblefield of Ziegler, IL; Jeremy and wife Danielle Witt of Wheaton, IL; 4 grandchildren: Draven Witt and Olivia Stubblefield both of Ziegler and Henry Witt and Jolie Vega of Wheaton. Sister: Sharon Selsek of Bayard, WV; brother: Delmar Witt of Hillsboro, IL; brother: Elmer Witt of Taylor Springs, IL; and sister: Karen Pearson of Mt. Carmel, IL; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Asa Witt.

Graveside funeral services will precede burial at 1 PM Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Sunset Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Ownley Williams officiating. There will be no visitation at Reed Funeral Chapel and those wishing to attend are asked to gather at the cemetery.
