Prep Golf: Fowler takes home first medalist honors of season

The Harrisburg High School boys golf team improved its match record to 6-1 with a 150-173 win over Carmi-White County Thursday.

Harrisburg senior Ben Fowler took home medalist honors, firing a 35, his lowest score to date this season.

Patrick Bittle carded a 36, while Garret Jenkins finished with a 38. Bryce Beal rounded out the top four scoring for the Bulldogs, finishing with a 41.

Camden Schiff (44) and Jacob Mills (46) also played for Harrisburg.

On the girls' side, Alexa Burtis shot a 41 as Harrisburg fell to Carmi-White County 166-222.

Skylark Street wasn't far behind from Burtis as she carded a 47. Alli Ferrell carded a 64 and Annabella Robinson finished with a 70.

The Harrisburg boys will conclude the week with an 18-hole tournament at Union County Country Club in Anna on Saturday, starting at 8:30 a.m.
