Obituary: Lula Belle Field
Lula Belle Field, 79, of Harrisburg, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Thursday June 11, 2015 in the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
She was born in Saline County on May 16, 1936 to the late Orlie Parks Sr. and Belle Owen.
Lula Belle was a retired secretary for the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Unit 2 School District and a member of the First Baptist Church in Carrier Mills.
She is survived by her companion and love of her life; Bob Lane of Harrisburg, daughter; Debbie (David) Moore of Galatia, sons; Tom (Irene) Field of Mason, MI, and Billy (LaDonna) Field of Galatia, 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and anxiously awaiting arrival of twins. Brothers: Orlie Parks Jr., David Parks, and Mark Parks of Carrier Mills, sisters: Barbara Thurauf of Missouri, Brenda Raben of Ridgway, Kathy Dunn of Kentucky, & Rhonda Felty of Carrier Mills along with several neices and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, brothers: Jackie Deason and Luke Parks, sisters: Orline Williams & Dorothy Parks.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday-June 14, 2015 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Private graveside services will precede burial on Monday at the Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Harrisburg with the Rev. Harl Cockrum officiating. In lieu of flowers, the preferred choice of remembrance would be memorials to the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee in her memory.
