Obituary: Janet Lynn Holman

Janet Lynn Holman, 55, of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:19 a.m., Wednesday, June 10 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Janet was born on April 14, 1960 to Bob and Gaynelle (Hudnell) Davis, in Eldorado, Illinois. Janet worked in the sales department of Dillard's department store in Marion, and she was a member of the McKinley Avenue Baptist Church.

Janet is survived by a daughter, Jenna Gunning and husband Craig of Harrisburg; parents, Bob and Gaynelle Davis of Harrisburg; brother, Mike Davis of Harrisburg; nieces and nephews, Brent Davis and wife Ashley of Harrisburg, Amanda Moore and husband Nathan of Harrisburg, and MacKenzie Davis of Harrisburg; great nieces and nephews, Addison Moore, Isabelle Davis, Nolan Moore and Samuel Davis all of Harrisburg; aunts, Clara Ruth Ammon of Carrier Mills, and Maxine Davis of Harrisburg; and cousins, Robert Hudnell of Harrisburg and Ethel Spencer of Lancaster, South Carolina.

Janet was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Orval and Helen Hudnell, paternal grandparents, Will and Anna Davis; and an uncle, Bob Hudnell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Billy Dye, Jr. will officiate; burial will follow in Spring Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13 at Reed Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Spring Valley Cemetery.
