Meeting minutes: Red Hats for God

On May 5, the Red Hats for God gathered at Bennie's in Marion. We all had a good time and enjoyed a delicious dinner.

We played games with Money Grabber Ruth Payne, Most Royal Court, Jester Roma Wilson, Rhinestone Cowgirl Phyllis McDaniel, Ritzy River Royalty Emma Smith, Lady Shopping Diva Delores Sharpin and Lady Blue Rose Mary Ann Rivera, all winning prizes.

Rhinestone Cowgirl Phyllis McDaniel read us our poem, "When I Am an Old Woman."

On June 2, we gathered at O'Charlie's in Marion. We enjoyed visiting with each other and making plans for future meetings. We also discussed making a Red Hat Calendar. Lady Blue Rose Mary Ann Rivera is in charge of this project.

After our blessing was given by Most Royal Court Jester Roma Wilson, we enjoyed a delicious dinner of various items.

We played Bible Bingo with Most Royal Court Jester Roma Wilson, Lady Blue Rose Mary Ann Rivera, Cinderella In Waiting Mary Smith and Rhinestone Cowgirl Phillis McDaniel, all "bingeing" and winning prizes.

Our birthday girl was Ruby Red Hat, Queen of the Red Hat Mascots Beth Morse. We all sang happy birthday to her and wished her many more.

Our door prize was won by Lady Blue Rose Mary Ann Rivera.

Our next gathering will be on July 7 at Walt's at 4 p.m. in Marion.
