Park improvements earn grant for Lads and Lassies 4-H and Galatia FFA

Farm Credit Illinois recently awarded a community improvement grant in the amount of $250 to the Lads & Lassies 4-H Club and Galatia FFA Chapter.

The members will use the funds to repaint the playground equipment and replace the worn out picnic tables in the city park. By working together to achieve a common goal, both the 4-H Club and the FFA Chapter will learn the value of giving back to the community while establishing a sense of pride in their city park. The Lads & Lassies and Galatia FFA received one of 51 community improvement grant from Farm Credit Illinois in 2015. A total of $12,750 in grant funds has been awarded to clubs and chapters making tangible contributions in their communities through implementing an improvement project.
