Four area students earned a spot to compete at the National High School Rodeo Association's Junior High Division National Competition. In order to qualify for these events, these athletes were required to place in one of the top four places in each event for the 2014-2015 rodeo season.Their hard work and commitment has paid off as each looks forward to their chance to compete in the national competition in Des Moines, Iowa in June. Pictured left to right are Trey Tiberio, Creal Springs; Evan Adams, Harrisburg; Abby Stevens, Galatia; and Cara Herron, Raleigh.

Correction: On May 28, The Daily Register gave credit to Cara Herron in in four events: barrels, poles, team roping and ribbon roping. Abby Stevens from Galatia is the young woman who qualified for these events. Stevens also won All Around Cowgirl for the 2014-2015 IL Junior High Rodeo season.
