Derek Lee Sanford

Derek Lee Sanford, age 32, of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at Harrisburg Medical Center. Derek was born on May 6, 1983 in Harrisburg to Vickie Kay (Lindsay).

Surviving family members include his mother and step-father: Vickie Kay (Scott) Rector of Harrisburg; grandmother: Dolores M. Lindsay of Karber's Ridge; uncle: Jerry (Cheryl) Lindsay of Harrisburg; numerous great aunts, uncles and friends.

Derek was preceded in death by his grandfather: Wendell G. Lindsay and his great-grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Vinyard Cemetery in Karber's Ridge. Jerry Lindsay will officiate. Those wishing to attend are asked to gather at the cemetery. Burial will follow in Vinyard Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Association.
