Obituary: Jenny M. Gowins

<span style="font-size: small;"><span>Jenny M. <span class="il">Gowins</span>, age 82, of Marion, Illinois passed away peacefully on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. </span></span><span style="font-size: small;">She was born on April 17, 1933 in Carrier Mills, Illinois daughter of the late Robert Jamerson and Rachel Henry Jamerson. </span>Jenny married Don <span class="il">Gowins</span> on October 13, 1950 and he survives. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Carrier Mills and a past member of Beta Sigma Phi. She is survived by her husband; Don of Marion, daughter; Melody Vinyard of Marion, grandchildren; Ben <span class="il">Gowins</span> and Rachel Vinyard, great-grandchildren; Makhi and Hyson, daughter-in-law; Kathy <span class="il">Gowins</span> of Crystal City, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Michael <span class="il">Gowins</span>, two sisters and seven brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church located at 109 E. Washington St. in Carrier Mills. Rev. Stan Irvin and Rev. Bob Manier will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the preferred choice of remembrance would be memorials to the First United Methodist Church in her memory. Envelopes will be available at the church.
