Springfest in Carrier Mills coming up this weekend

Springfest 2015 kicks off in Carrier Mills this Thursday afternoon. Over the weekend, trailers and RV's began appearing on the square and by Tuesday afternoon the carnival had appeared with the rides fully setup and many food vend=ors booths in place.

The annual event will feature live entrainment, food and craft vendors and free USA Wrestling every night of the three-night carnival. This year, Brady Amusements, the carnival ride company, is bringing its entire collection of rides. Carrier Mills Mayor Louis Shaw said, "It looks to be one of the best Springfests we have ever had."

The schedule of events at the 2015 Springfest is as follows:

Thursday May 28

n Carnival Rides open at 5 p.m.

n Game Show Night with 'The Beat' Mobile DJ Show at 7 p.m.

n USA Wrestling 'Free' at 8 p.m.

n Food and Craft Vendors

Friday, May 30

n Carnival Rides open at 5 p.m.

n The Country Swing Band 7:00PM to 10 p.m.

n USA Wrestling 'Free' at 8 p.m.

Saturday, May 30

n 5K Run/Walk at 10:00 a.m., registration at 7:30 a.m.

n Carnival Rides open at 5 p.m.

n Cake Walk at 5 p.m.

n CMHS Hip Hop Dance Team at 6:30 p.m.
