One injured in semi vs. truck accident
<span>STEELEVILLE -- A St. Mary, Mo., man suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of a collision involving a tractor-trailer and a work truck on Monday.</span>
<span>According to the Illinois State Police, a 2005 International semi, driven by 27-year-old Willisville resident Michael Stephens and with Stephens Trucking emblems on the sides, was traveling eastbound on Route 150 near Route 4.</span>
<span>A 1994 GMC work truck with Wm. Nobbe & Company signage, driven by 63-year-old St. Mary resident Irvin Otte, had slowed to turn into a private drive when it was struck in the rear by the tractor-trailer.</span>
<span>The accident occurred about 3:36 p.m. near the Wm. Nobbe & Company facility. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.</span>
<span>Stephens, who was not injured in the crash, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Both lanes of Route 150 were closed for about an hour due to the incident, with responding agencies being the Illinois State Police, Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Steeleville Fire Department and the Steeleville Police Department.</span>
