OBITUARY: Cosby O'Quinn

Cosby O'Quinn, 91, of Phelps, Ky., formerly of Equality, passed away 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Home in Phelps, Ky.

She was born on Aug. 27, 1923, in Grungy, Va., the daughter of Jonah and Phoebe Margaret O'Quinn. She was a retired cook from the Equality Grade School.

She is survived by her niece, Margaret and Chuck Hult of Hardy, Ky.; two nephews, David and Cathy King of Equality; John and Jane King of Ridgway; several great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Osie, Naomi, Roxie and Chloe; two brothers, Roy and Hollan.

Cosby was loved and held in the greatest esteem by her nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Cosby will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015, until service time at noon at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Burial will be at the White County Memorial Gardens near Carmi. Internet condolences may be made at the website www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
