OBITUARY: Patricia Ann "Patty" Potts

Patricia Ann "Patty" Potts, 72 of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

Patricia was born on April 19, 1943, in Chicago to the late Harold and Esther (Czelock) Fasholz. She married the late Charles "Checkmate" Potts on Oct. 8, 1959, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2008. She was a certified nursing assistant.

Patricia is survived by a daughter, Donna Hinant of Metropolis; son, Robert Potts and wife Sadie of Fredericktown, Mo.; five grandchildren, Daniel Gibbs, David Parker, Stefanie Basham, Jessi Potts and Dylan Potts; two great-grandchildren, Renee Gibbs and Anne Marie; brother, Richard Fasholz and wife Gloria of San Mateo, Calif.; sister, Dolly Doretti of Romeoville; and several in-laws.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Steve Potts.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Saline Care Center for providing excellent care of "Patty" as she was affectionately known there.
