Deputies probe theft, burglary

Saline County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating two county thefts that occurred April 1.

At 2:40 p.m. April 2 Jim Watson reported a green 1999 Kawasaki all-terrain vehicle had been stolen from under a carport behind his property at 1024 Beggs Place, Harrisburg, according to a Saline County Sheriff's report.

There was no key in the ATV and the neighbors witnessed no suspicious activity.

Also on April 2 Vernon Boisjolie reported someone had entered his home at 2460 Wasson Road the night before. Boisjolie said he awoke in the middle of the night to find a door open, but did not realize a burglary had occurred until the next morning, according to a sheriff's report.

Missing were a Playstation 4 game system, two controllers, a Dell laptop computer and a KVD baitcaster fishing pole, according to the report.
