SIU Credit Union cuts ribbon

SIU Credit Union cut the ribbon at their Harrisburg location on Thursday.

Susan Dallas-Willis, SIU Credit Union chairman gave a brief presentation, speaking about how pleased the credit union was to be serving Harrisburg and thanking the city government for its cooperation.

SIU Credit Union President and CEO Dennis Schaefer echoed Dallas-Willis's sentiments, again thanking the city for its assistance and stating that the credit union was very much looking forward to working with the community.

Patrick Voss, director of Small Credit Unions and Initiatives, Illinois Credit Union System spoke to the assembled spectators, stating that he felt credit unions were a very important and reliable part of the banking industry and that he was pleased to see another credit union open.

Members of the Harrisburg business community were present as were representatives of the Saline County Chamber of Commerce.
