OBITUARY: Jess Wilson “Bear” Gibbs

Jess Wilson "Bear" Gibbs, 62, Eldorado, passed away at 11:46 a.m. on March 25, 2015, in Evansville, Ind.

He was born April 8, 1952, to the late Jess and Berniece Gibbs of Harrisburg. He worked with Sanitation Disposal and Archway Amusement out of St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobby Gene Hedger, LeRoy Gibbs, James Gibbs, Richard Hedger and George Gibbs.

He is survived by three sons, Randy (Cindy) Carmickle, James (Tammy Davis) Carmickle and Jess (Shelley) Gibbs Jr.; and two sisters, Ann (John) Leinenbach and Marsha Norman-Hill; as well as many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many more family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, at Sunset Cemetery in Harrisburg, followed with a family and friends gathering at Randy and Cindy Carmickle's home in Eldodrado with a potluck dinner.
