Prep Soccer: Harrisburg handles Herrin

Emma Eldridge and Kelsey Hobbs combined for six goals as Harrisburg hammered Herrin 10-1 in prep soccer action Saturday.

Eldridge and Hobbs each scored three goals a piece, while Scarlet Winters tacked on two goals. Hannah Bartok and Jenny Buchanan each netted a goal for Harrisburg, who put up 27 shots on goal against the Tigers.

Sierra Harrington got the win in goal for Harrisburg, finishing with three saves.

Harrisburg returns to action Thursday with a home match against Centralia at 4:30 p.m. at Michel Herrin Field and will host Salem on Saturday at 11 a.m.
