OBITUARY: Brent Hope Jennings

Brent Hope Jennings, 52 of 10 Irvin Road, Carrier Mills, died 4:46 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held noon Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Felty Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until service time Saturday. The Rev. Ownly Williams will officiate. Masonic Rites will be held prior to funeral rites. Memorials may be made to Lakeview Cemetery, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Private burial will be at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery.

He was born on Aug. 24, 1962, in Maywood, to the late Lyndon and Barbara (Robinson) Jennings.

He worked for over 18 years as customer services manager at the Harrisburg Wal-Mart store.

He was president of the Lakeview Cemetery Board for the past 10 years, member of the Cave-In-Rock Masonic Lodge 444, member of the Carrier Mills Baber Chapel A.M.E Church, member of the Saline County Historical Society and a former member of the Carrier Mills Jaycees.

He is survived by two sons: Brendan Jennings and Robin Jennings both of Carrier Mills; stepbrothers: Victor Brown, Tony Brown, John "Hootie" Brown, Marvin Brown and Eddie Hopkins; nieces and nephews: Khiya Gregory, Aaron Gregory, Brandi Gregory, Alexis Walker, Wesley Bouchard and Ashley Bouchard; great-uncle: Archibald Allen of Springfield; and several cousins including: Joyce and Marvin Taborn and Paul Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Paul Gregory; and grandmother: Aramintha Davion whom raised him.
