Search warrant leads to drug arrests
<span>CHESTER -- On Sunday morning, Chester Police Department officers executed a search warrant at 127 Welge Dr. in Chester. </span>
<span>In a news release from the CPD, it is stated the execution of the warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into alleged illegal drug use and sale involving residents at the address.</span>
<span>Police reported having seized suspected methamphetamine, prescription medications, glass pipes, syringes and other items of drug paraphernalia used for ingesting narcotics. </span>
<span>As a result, three Chester residents - 20-year-old Aaron Schwier, 26-year-old Cory Cantrell and 25-year-old Kyle R. Hahs - have been arrested in connection with the seizure.</span>
<span>Police have filed charges against Schwier for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of cannabis, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.</span>
<span>Cantrell has been charged with unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. </span>
<span>Hahs has been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. </span>
<span>Patrick M. Eggers, the legal resident of the residence, also received a summons for unlawful possession of cannabis. Chester Police Chief Ryan Coffey indicated that the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and charges are possible.</span>
