OBITUARY: Joan Perry

Joan Perry, age 84 of Golconda, passed away March 1, 2015, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

She was born Feb. 10, 1931, to the late Charles Frank and Gene (Chaddock) Tucker in Livermore, Ky.

Joan is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bob Perry of Golconda; daughter, Alison (Stan) Powles of Golconda; son, Wade Barnerd of New York, N.Y.; granddaughters, Hilary Powles of St. Louis, Mo., Emily Powles of Golconda; sister, Judy (Lee) Meinders; step-mother, Hazel Tucker of Elizabethtown; stepsister, Carol (Roger) Hannan of Olmsted; stepdaughters, Belinda Jenkins, Regina Phister, Juana Foster; stepsons, John David Perry, Daniel Perry; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Joan was an avid gardener always maintaining a beautiful yard and loved her hummingbirds, but above all else, her greatest joy was watching her granddaughters play basketball.

There will be a private graveside service at Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
