OBITUARY: Rita Jane Cornaghie

Rita Jane Cornaghie, 70, of Harrisburg passed away at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at her residence.

She was born on Jan. 10, 1945, in Harrisburg to the late Joe and Nellie (Bumgarner) Bristow. On Nov. 10, 1962, she married Danny Cornaghie and he survives.

Rita previously worked at the Bowen Center and Coleman Tri-County as a caregiver.

Surviving family members include her husband, Danny Cornaghie of Harrisburg; son, Todd (Niccole) Cornaghie of Marion; son, Clint (Maureen) Cornaghie of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Mitch Cornaghie, Nick Cornaghie, Ben Cornaghie, Bailee Cornaghie and Christian Cornaghie; sister, Beverly (Don) Thomas of Harrisburg; sister, Linda (Troy) Simpson of Harrisburg; brother, Burtis (Cindy) Bristow of Harrisburg; brother, Alan (Mary) Bristow of Harrisburg; and a brother, Ronnie (Pam) Bristow of Evansville, Ind.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents.

As per her wishes, private graveside services will be held at a later date. The Rev. Bernie Cowgill will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg.
