OBITUARY: Brice Edward Shewmaker

Brice Edward Shewmaker, 63, resident of Harrisburg passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.

Brice was born Dec. 26, 1951, to the late William Brice and Annie (Gribble) Shewmaker. Brice and his wife Emma lived at and worked for the Saline County Fairgrounds. He was a member of the Church of New Beginnings in Eldorado.

He is survived by two sons, Chris (Angela) Shewmaker of Harrisburg, Brice (Kassidy) Shewmaker of Harrisburg; five daughters, Christina (Luther Coleman) Shewmaker of Eldorado, Mary Beth (Dustin) Colby of Harrisburg, Bobbie (Lelan) Drue of Harrisburg, Pearl (Roger) Shewmaker, Dana Conkle of Peters Creek; two sisters, Doris (Bob) Lang of Glen Falls, N.Y., Irma (Larry) Taylor of Harrisburg; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Rosie Crisp of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Toby Hise officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will 11 a.m. to service time at 1 p.m. Friday.
