Cole Hopkins and Samantha Gross Crowned King & Queen of DHS Sweetheart Court

Cole Hopkins, son of David and Wendy Hopkins, and Samantha Gross, daughter of Clyde and Anita Gross, were crowned king and queen at Saturday's FFCLA Sweetheart Dance Coronation. The coronation was held in R.P. Hibbs Auditorium followed by the dance at the American Legion. Queen candidates were: Madeleine Cravens, Samantha Gross, Laynee Porter, Emily Stanhouse and Sydney Valier. The king candidates were: Cole Hopkins and Anthony Smith. The princesses were: Senior Amanda Atteberry, Junior Carlie Daffron, Sophomore Kylee Sizemore and Freshman Brooke Ward. Princes were: Sophomore Dakota Duppong and Freshman Noah Saunders. The Attendants were: Senior Lexy Landis, Junior Shania Quagliata, Sophomore Rachel Johnston, Freshman McLain Baker and Freshman Ashton Smith. Escorts were: Tucker Kuhnert, Brogan Smith, Charley Mercier, Jordan Harsy, Jonathon Harsy, Will Woodside, Ryan Myers and Garrett Morgenstern. Candle bearers were: Abby Doerr, Victoria Cavitt, Allie Fred, Delainey File, Maggie Harris, Olivia Cravens, Brooklynn Cooper and Izzy Dollus. Mistress of Ceremonies was Grace Bastien and Grant Woodside was in charge of sound and lights. The theme was "All About Us" and the gorgeous stage set was created by Roger Brand.
