Board approves two school bus purchases
Discuss progress pertaining to Performance Evaluation Reform Act

ELDORADO
The Eldorado school board met Thursday Feb. 19 at Eldorado High School and discussed progress on the schools compliance with the state's Performance Evaluation Reform Act.
School Superintendent and Eldorado High School Principal Ryan Hobbs was pleased with the progress toward compliance.
Also discussed and approved was the purchase of three vehicles from Vandalia. Two school busses and one pickup truck were offered at the price of $6,500 and the board accepted the offer pending approval of the board's school bus mechanic.
The Eldorado High School bowling team was recognized for winning the Regional State Championship.
Bowler Payton Morse was recognized for advancing to the State Competition.
The board also approved:
The resignation of Sara Lands as assistant high school girls track coach.
The resignation of Venita Fals as full time bus driver effective Feb. 20, 2015.
The resignation of Gina Griffith as high school girls track coach.
The resignation of Christy Griffith as elementary cook effective Jan. 28, 2015.
After executive session the board announced:
Hiring Valerie Anderson as assistant girls high school softball coach for the 2015-16 season.
Hiring Elsie Talkington as assistant girls track team coach for 2015-16 season.
Hiring Megan Harbison as head varsity girls track coach for 2015-16 season.
